Technical Service Coordinator

Seegrid currently has an opening for a Technical Service Coordinator.  The Technical Service Coordinator will provide support for autonomous vehicle software, hardware, and server systems with minimal supervision.  The Technical Services team provides support to OEM partners, customers, certified third-party service providers and Seegrid personnel who perform on-site services including installation, configuration, upgrade, maintenance, and repair of Seegrid technology and hardware.  This team is also responsbile for operating the Seegrid Help Desk, which provides support and spare parts sales to Seegrid, OEM partners, and their respective customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains fleet and software case history and configuration documentation
  • Provides technical guidance and work direction to customers, 3PP, and Seegrid Field Services
  • Ensures support services are effective and customer's requirements are met
  • Monitors daily progress of service case(s) or projects
  • Remote troubleshooting and support of Linux based Seegrid systems and software, as well as hardware
  • Engaging customer IT in post-sales environment to coordinate customer installation and allocation of IT resources
  • Provision, configuration, and support of Linux based servers, both physical and virtual
  • Creation of internal and customer facing knowledge base and support documentation
  • provides sales quotes for parts and service

Requirements and Experience:

  • Intermediate-to-expert understanding of command line Linux - Debian and RPM distros
  • Associate Degree, Technical School Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
  • Work experience in a remote service role required, supporting robotics or other high-tech industry a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral, with ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization, customers, and partners
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in "black box" like environments
  • Ability to handle and prioritize accordingly, multiple simultaneous tasks often in high pressure situations
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain security clearances for customer premises and network access
  • Familiarity with industry standard VPN clients, both Windows and Linux variants
  • Familiarity with cloud instantiated technologies:  AWS, GCE
  • Familiarity with Wifi and physical network protocols connection methods, and hardware
  • Python and shell scripting a bonus
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Ability to support US EST (8A-5P); 2nd shift/overnight coverage availability a plus
  • Ability to support 24 hours on-call, on rotation
