The Role: Project Manager

Reports to the Manager of Implementation and Operation Projects. 

The ideal candidate must perform well under pressure with a proven track record of managing dynamic and complex projects while cultivating strong relationships with project stakeholders at all organizational levels. You will work alongside Sales, Application Engineering, Implementation & Systems Engineering, Field Service, IT Operations and Customer Success teams to develop and manage project plans to implement autonomous solutions within Seegrid’s customers facilities. 


Core Responsibility for this role:

The Project Manager (PM) is overall responsible for the planning and execution of Seegrid Implementation and Operations projects. This role focuses on the readiness of customers and cross-functional internal Seegrid teams to successfully implement automated solutions at customer sites. Project Managers conduct meetings on a specified cadence and communicate with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure projects are executed successfully and on schedule. PMs are responsible for leading cross-functional team efforts and ensuring each team member clearly understands the mission, purpose and the desired end state of each project as prescribed in the project charter. As part of the Value Management Organization (VMO), the PMs are key leaders within the organization who are expected to contribute to constant process improvement for the betterment of the Seegrid team and our customers. 


The successful completion of your first year, looks like:

  • You will take ownership of and lead implementation project efforts.
  • You will drive projects to be completed on time and within scope, meeting the customer needs and expectations. 
  • You will establish relationships across the organization and represent Seegrid’s kind, curious and driven ideals within the company and with customers. 
  • You will identify opportunities to continuously improve Seegrid implementation best practices. 


Responsibilities will consist of:

  • Work cross-functionally with Seegrid and Customer teams to deploy automated solutions within customer facilities.
  • Develop project charters, and use planning tools to manage against the scope, milestones, timelines and deliverables of projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Establish and monitor timelines for defined projects, determine priorities and manage risks within defined projects.
  • Identify and address process gaps proactively to drive continuous improvement of the team.
  • Work with functional managers to select a team with the knowledge and experience required to achieve project goals. 
  • Lead regular project meetings with customers to ensure that the projects remain on track, identify and resolve barriers and drive the team to execute the project as planned and on time.
  •  Responsible for communicating regular project updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensures expenditures are within the budget established in the project specifications.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field and 2-5 years of relevant experience. (Technical background preferred)
  • In lieu of a degree, high school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient with Project Management tools.
  • Strong solution minded leader with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with simultaneously managing multiple projects of varying complexities.
  • Ability to align, influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups without direct reporting relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to diplomatically set and manage customer expectations.
  • Self-starter who works well in high pressure situations.


Desired Experience:

  • Project management certification (PMP) is highly preferred.
